How do I use your site to find the destination/activity/event information I want?
If you want specific city information, just click on the "Find a City" map located throughout the site and then either click on the city on the map or use the alpha listing at the bottom of the map that you are interested in visiting. If you want activity information, just click on the interest tabs on the top navigation that are located throughout the site. For event information, click on the "event" tab and then click on month interested in. You may also use the keyword search box located throughout the site.

Where can I get information on camping in Michigan?
Just click on the "Lodging" tab located on the top navigation and then click on " campgrounds". You may also use the keyword search box located throughout the site. Information on state parks’ campgrounds can also be viewed on the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Web site—as well as making state park campground reservations on-line, or by calling toll-free (800) 44-PARKS. Private campground information is available from the Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC), or the Michigan Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC).

How do I get my tourism business added to your database; or how do I update information about my business on your database?
If you are not listed in our database and wish to be listed just click on the "add your property" at bottom of Web site. If your listing needs to be updated, you may update the information yourself or one of our call center specialist can do by calling toll-free (800) 676-1743.
Please note that you must be a Michigan-based tourism business in order to be listed. All other requests will be denied.

Can I get my deals/packages added to your database?
Definitely. To get your deals/packages listed on the Travel Michigan Web site, please fill out the deals/packages survey. If you have any questions on criteria, you may contact Marilyn Schneider at (517) 241-2605, or Diane Wells at (517) 335-6909.
Criteria for Inclusion:
- To qualify as a "deal/package," and the rate you are offering is your normal price, it must include at least one additional value item that is not normally included in this price there must be something of additional value to the traveler.
- The entire deal/package must be available to book through one telephone call. If a deal/package includes lodging and a round of golf at a location different from the lodging location, then the traveler should be able to make just one telephone call to reserve both the lodging and golf portion of the deal/package.
- The description provided must state exactly what is included in this deal/package. It is advisable to also state what is NOT included (e.g., taxes and gratuities not included).
- Deal/package must have a firm beginning and ending date(s) with no more than 12 months between beginning and ending date.
- Deal/package must be available to the general public.
- Deal/package information must include phone number(s) that traveler may use to get more information and/or directly purchase the deal/package. You may also supply an visual image (no more than 360 pixels wide) and/or a Web site URL for traveler information that would take the traveler to more information on this deal/package.
- Travel Michigan needs a contact person name/phone number/email address for the deal/package.

Will you link to my Web site? Can I link to the Travel Michigan Web site?
We will link to your site only if you are a Michigan-based tourism business, event or deal/package. In order to have your link listed as part of your database entry, you must adhere to the terms of Travel Michigan's hyperlink policy. If you wish to link to Travel Michigan from your site, there is no need to submit a formal request. All we ask is that your site not include offensive, obscene and/or libelous material, and not be directly linked to any other sites that may include offensive, obscene and/or libelous material. How do I submit my calendar of events for listing on the Travel Michigan Web site?
To get your events listed on the Travel Michigan Web site, please fill out the calendar of event survey. If you have any questions on criteria, you may contact the Event desk at toll-free (800) 676-1743.
Criteria for Inclusion:

Event must have firm beginning and ending date(s) with no more than 12 months between beginning and ending date.

Event must be open to the general public, whether free or with admission charge.

Event must be of general interest to the traveling public and draw attendance from outside the local community area. Events such as sidewalk sales, lectures, film showings, garage sales, fundraisers, school bazaars, etc. are NOT considered tourism-related events and will NOT be placed into the Travel Michigan database.

Event data must include the name/title of the event, specific location of the event, a brief description of the event, and a phone number(s) for the public to call for more event information.

Travel Michigan needs a contact person name/phone number/email address for the event.

You may also supply a visual image (no more than 360 pixels wide) and a Web site URL for more information on this event.
