Governor Jennifer Granholm has recruited Chris Holman as one of the newest members to officially join the state's economic development team. The host of "Business Today with Chris Holman" on WILX-TV, "The Chris Holman Morning Show" on WILS AM radio and publisher of The Greater Lansing Business Monthly for the past 18 years, Chris is now serving as Michigan's Small Business Advocate.

As Small Business Advocate, Chris' role is to ensure that small companies are connected to the services they need to grow and prosper.  He is working closely with the Michigan Business Ombudsman office, which helps small firms resolve problems with state government agencies and unravel red tape.  Chris is also heading up a new Partner Advisory Council to serve as a referral network of services, assistance and information to small businesses.
