Alpena County

There are only a few places on this earth where beauty exists alongside industry. Located in Northeast Michigan, Alpena County is such a place. Bordered by Lake Huron and state and national forest lands, there's no argument that Mother Nature has a year-round home here. She starts each day by bringing the sun up over Lake Huron and greens or whites the landscape depending on the season. She's dependable, you can plan a multitude of activities around her. The other good news is that Father Time has also visited this area and left established, responsible industries. The industrial base has provided the area with an industrial park, an educated workforce supported by an active community college, a regional medical center, and economic stability even in rough times.
