Ogemaw County

Ogemaw County is a developing community located in the northeast central section of Michigan's lower-peninsula.  Until 1871, the county was a virtual wilderness.  The building of the railroad and later the I-75 expressway, brought both settlers and employment to the county.  Today Ogemaw County can be described as a year-round recreational Mecca.  More than 100 lakes and 381 miles of rivers and streams have earned Ogemaw County the reputation as a water lover's paradise.  In addition, with 60% forested land, the county provides opportunity for a multitude of all-season recreational activities.
