Saint Clair County

St. Clair County is located in the southeastern part of the lower peninsula, bordered by Lake Huron on the northeast, the St. Clair River on the east, and Anchor Bay and Lake St. Clair on the south. It is traversed by I-69 and I-94. The county contains 734 square miles and is the 24th largest in the state. The county seat is Port Huron. Farms occupy about 40 percent of the land, about equally divided between crops and livestock. Manufacturing activity includes auto-related products, plastics, metal forgings and stampings, and non-electrical machinery. The many lakes, including Lake Huron, make St. Clair County a perfect spot for outdoor recreation activities.
