Required State License(s):

When engaged in a business as an alarm system contractor, a license is required with the Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth, Commercial Services Licensing at (517) 241-9288.

[This does not apply to a business which only sells or manufacturers alarms, unless the business also services, installs, monitors or responds to alarms.]  

When engaged in the business of fire alarm contracting, a license is required with a local licensing jurisdiction or the Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth, Bureau of Construction Codes and Fire Safety, Electrical Division at (517) 241-9320.
