It provides information on individual sites, including characteristics, digitized photographs location maps, aerial photos, detailed topographic maps, brownfield data, and existing structures. Local economic development offices and real estate brokers enter site information into the network via the Internet. Over 5,000 sites throughout Michigan are currently listed, including land, buildings, brownfield sites, and Michigan Certified Business Parks. More are being added each day. MISITENET serves to assist consultants and businesses interested in locating facilities in Michigan. A company's needs are determined through analysis of factors such as building size, ceiling height, truck loading facilities, location, utility requirements, and acreage for current needs and for possible future expansion.
