Pure Michigan Logo Guidelines
Travel Michigan is proud to work in partnership with Michigan’s public and private travel organizations to encourage the use of the “Pure Michigan” logo as a component of your overall marketing program. Through the consistent use of the Pure Michigan brand, we can extend Michigan’s message and identity and at the same time market Michigan as the national destination that it is.
To ensure the success of the Pure Michigan branding and guarantee the quality and consistency of Michigan’s brand identity, users of the logo must comply with the usage guidelines. Also, Travel Michigan is in the process of receiving federal trademark protection for its logo. Travel Michigan will take all necessary steps to protect its intellectual property from unauthorized use. Please note the following:
- The Pure Michigan logo cannot be used on any commercial product without Travel Michigan's expressed written permission.
- No additional embellishments or ornamentation are permitted. The logo must be reproduced from authorized reproduction sheets and may not be redrawn or modified in any way.
- In all applications, the logo must always be printed on a horizontal plane. It may not be printed vertically or at any other angle.
- If using the logo against a tinted background, the background must be light enough to allow for sufficient contrast. Tinted backgrounds with logo overprint should be 40 percent value or less.

2009 Marketing Partnership Program Guidelines (PDF 77kb)
Travel Michigan's 2008 Marketing Partnership Program is intended to extend the limited marketing reach of the Michigan travel industry and Travel Michigan by leveraging marketing dollars to promote Michigan. The partnership program is an advertising partnership reaching key markets requiring a $75,000 or $30,000 commitment on the partner's part which is then matched by Travel Michigan.
2009 Pay-per-Click Partnership Program (PDF 70kb)
Travel Michigan's Pay-per-Click Partnership Program uses michigan.org and Travel Michigan matching funds to increase your Web site inquiries utilizing leading search engines.
2009 Instate Marketing Partnership Guidelines (PDF 77kb)
The Travel Michigan Instate Marketing Partnership program is intended to keep Michigan residents instate, extend stays and further promote our destinations by leveraging Travel Michigan and industry marketing dollars to promote to Michigan residents. The program’s key markets are Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Flint, Saginaw/Bay City, Battle Creek/Kalamazoo and Traverse City.
